Seems a worthy goal for re-connecting: "Too many connections" (see https://groups.google.com/g/debezium/c/_ZJGpa2_30Y). Probably only after moving MySQL to framework, though. Then look into implementing a specific sub-class of ErrorHandler that handles the exception (and message) specified in the report on the list.
