= New documentation for on-premises Open VSX registries

New documentation is now available for deploying and configuring an on-premises Open VSX registry. This allows you to use a private registry as an alternative to the embedded plugin registry.

      The documentation includes procedures for:

      * Deploying an Open VSX instance.

      * Configuring Dev Spaces to use the on-premises registry.

      * Publishing extensions from .vsix files to your registry.

For more information, see link:https://docs.redhat.com/en/documentation/red_hat_openshift_dev_spaces/3.23/html-single/administration_guide/index#extensions-for-microsoft-visual-studio-code-open-source[Extensions for Microsoft Visual Studio Code - Open Source].
