      = GitHub Copilot icon is disabled by default

      The GitHub Copilot icon is now disabled and not visible by default. This change is due to the current licensing of the GitHub Copilot extension, which is not fully open source. The icon will be enabled after Microsoft makes the link:https://code.visualstudio.com/blogs/2025/06/30/openSourceAIEditorFirstMilestone#_whats-next[GitHub Copilot extension] fully open source.

      What is the nature and description of the request?
      The devspaces Dashbard has a GitHub Copilot icon showing up near search bar which should be disabled/removed. ** 
       
      Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
       
      As per update from the client it looks like its enabled, not as an extension, but as an option on the top. Their users reported this issue.
