Customer Escalated, Customer Facing, QE Confirmed, Customer Reported
DevWorkspace Operator (DWO) 0.30.1 is an emergency bug-fix release, intended to resolve https://issues.redhat.com/browse/CRW-7172.
It is a downstream respin of DevWorkspace Operator 0.30.0 (i.e. it uses the same upstream code as DWO 0.30.0) but has a new pinned version of ose-kube-rbac-proxy:4.12, after having resolved https://issues.redhat.com/browse/CLOUDDST-24148.
In the release of DWO 0.30.0, the pinned digest of ose-kube-rbac-proxy:4.12 used in DWO 0.30.0 was removed from the container registry, causing installation and deployment of DWO to fail.
DevWorkspace Operator 0.30.0 released on Thursday, August 29th. A large number of customers upgraded to this latest release (either manually or through automatic updates) and have had their DevSpaces & Web Terminal installation broken. Though a temporary workaround exists for CRW-7172, it is not feasible for many customers and product demo cases. See the comments on https://issues.redhat.com/browse/CRW-7172
As such, we are intending to release DevWorkspace Operator v0.30.1 on Friday, September 6th to restore functionality to all affected users as soon as possible.

- We are aware that Friday's are a release freeze, and have obtained approval from Rick Wagner (Senior Principal Product Experience Engineer, https://rover.redhat.com/people/profile/rwagner) see the following Slack thread: https://redhat-internal.slack.com/archives/C04L0QR0P09/p1725482103056609?thread_ts=1725481581.468169&cid=C04L0QR0P09
