The problem we want to solve
In release 3.8 a critical fix wasn't included in the RC even if it was pushed to the release branch. And since we figured it out after QE had finished pre-release testing, the fix was not included in the release.

How we would like to solve it
We would like that RC builds get triggered as soon as new commits are pushed to the corresponding branch.
