OAuth token isn't suitable for use with the github CLI from a terminal

      • Dev Spaces has been configured for use with OAuth as described in the documentation.
          • The GitHub administrator has added an OAuth Application.
          • Dev Spaces is configured with a Secret that contains the client id and client secret.

(The above are as described in the documentation.)

This results in the generation of a token that's found in the workspace pod.
Unfortunately, it seems the token isn't suitable for use with the github CLI from a terminal in the workspace. (It may not have adequate permissions.)

We are especially interested in access to 'Read org and team membership, read org projects'.

Can the OAuth token that gets generated be given additional permissions so it's more usable in a terminal in the workspace?
