      Summary

As part of AWS source onboarding we have users create a limited permission role and grant our AWS account the ability to "assume role". AWS defaults this action to the root user of the account, and has added the ability to use an External ID to further protect 3rd party access to the user's AWS account.

      See https://docs.aws.amazon.com/IAM/latest/UserGuide/id_roles_create_for-user_externalid.html

      Target Dates

      • Backend development work complete - June 7, 2023
      • QE test completion - June 14, 2023
