CNV is tech preview in 4.4, and provides a way for cost management to expand into on-prem management of VM on top of containers.

Cost management should support gathering information about VM and using it to create charges:

      1. It should support gathering data:

      • Memory allocated (MiB or GiB)
      • CPU
      • Workload profile

      2. It should be possible to use those parameters as:

      • To distribute costs of the cluster into the VM
      • To calculate a cost using a price list on any of those types and selectors

      3. There should be an specific report on VM usage inside OpenShift. UX is needed to define where it should be

      4. Cost Model support
