When using a container platform, there is a need for new and updated patterns of utilization of the resources.
For instance, users of the platform will be used to define the workloads with a pattern (usage, request, limit) that is not aligned with the maximization of value of the application. For instance, we know of clusters with 10% utilization, while requests are over 80%.
In order to align workload profiles and business value, there is a need to steer users into an scale-out application with proper requests/usage/limits. Cost models are key for that.
