      Feature overview

In order to support new use cases it is necessary to change the way the data is processed so that we can enable new use cases (like historical view, forecasting and budgets, etc). This feature asks for a new architecture that will support those use cases.

      Goals

      • Modify the data paths so it is possible to use the data from more than 2 months, up to 15 months
      • Enable access to AI-enabled tools for advanced features (forecasting, budgeting, optimization)
      • It will also allow better feedback on the state of the sources (last time updated, last time summarized, etc)

      Requirements

Cost management will be able to store information for up to 15 months:

      • Detailed line item data and summarization for the last 3 months
      • Reduced detail for other data (i.e. only daily summarization for next 6 months, monthly for the following 6)

It will be possible to use the information stored for AI training and features

      Background and strategic fit

A requirement to enable advanced features.

      Out of scope

This use case should have functional parity with existing workflow, but serve as the core for future advancements. Those new features are out of scope
