Today vishvananda/netlink does not have support for VNI filtering, it is not possible to add VNIs to the bridge and create the bridge with vnifiltering enabled. 

Implement the missing functionality and post a PR upstream.

We acknowledge that we might not be able to get the PR merged upstream in time and we might end up sticking to a fork for the time being.
