Goal:

• Implement all customer-facing image types that are available in RHEL 9.
• As of August 8th, the missing ones are:
  • gce (x86_64-only)
  • image-installer (x86_64 and aarch64)

Acceptance Criteria:

• gce and image-installer images are buildable for RHEL 10.
• These images are tested in IB's CI.

Out of Scope:

• Edge image types (see comments under https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHELBU-2803 for more details)
• RHUI images (tracked separately, TBD)
• the openstack image type (obudai@redhat.com proposed to remove it as it's redundant, see https://github.com/osbuild/images/pull/843 )
• minimal-raw (x86_64 and aarch64)
  • Even though the image type is not ostree-based, it was requested for the EDGE / IOT use case.
  • It depends on initial-setup rpm, which is no longer available on el10.
  • The image won't be added to el10 for now, until we figure out if it is needed at all.
