We have multiple bug reports related to the fact that Cockpit UI shows resources of the virtual machine from the point of view of the host system rather than an operating system on the guest.

This discrepancy confuses users and sets wrong expectation about the system utilization.

Both viewpoints (guest and host) are actually valid but are needed for different purposes:

      * How much resources I have on my host system? Can I afford running more virtual machines?

      • How much resources my application inside the virtual machine is using, should I expand or shrink my virtual machine?

Possible ideas to improve the situation:

      • Create style guidelines to add visible difference between inside and outside values for CPU, memory, disk space, (also networking?)
      • Show both "inside" and "outside" values on the virtual machine overview
      • Add a tooltip or documentation to explain a specific value
      • Add "outside" values on the host overview screen
      • Find how to fetch the disk information from the guest system
