It's very difficult to understand which features are supported in each release.
Therefore a KCS should be created and maintained, which lists all OCP-V relevant features and state if they are GA, TP, DP or N/A.
I came about to create this RFE due to my current engagement where CU is on 4.18
Something like:
| Feature | 4.21 | 4,20 | 4.19 | 4.18 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Live migration - Compute | GA | GA | GA | GA |
| Live migration - Storage | GA | ? | ? | TP |
| Offline migration CLI - Storage | ? | ? | ? | ? |
| Offline migration UI - Storage | GA | ? | ? | N/A |
| NFS-CSI without snapshot* | ? | ? | ? | ? |
| NFS-CSI with snapshot** | N/A | N/A | N/A | N/A |
| RHEL-9 VM's | GA | GA | GA | GA |
| ... |
- We can't make a consistent copy of data, wihout freezing the storage, due to lack of snapshots.
-
- snapshots are not supported, due to <link> stating that snapshots are .tar dumps of pv's. Therefore they are not crash-consistent.
