network team found thee-four bugs around two controllers (virt-controller & virt-handler) fighting to update some field.
It would be nice to have a metric to track the number of times a controller has synced a VMI for example.
In a patch-storm scenario, this number would be very big over a short period of time.

In order to know how if a controller synced a VMI we observe the object being changed and also observe the controllers' logs.
