To Do
-
VIRTSTRAT-557 - Windows crash detection and debuggability
-
Goal
Expose fine granular details about IO latencies observed in the host/qemu path.
We need to build on RHEL-131335 once implemented.
a) Define the buckets we want to have (likely to have buckets/boundaries of 10ms, 100ms, 1s, 10s, 60s, inf)
b) Implement a prom metric to expose this histogram.
User Stories
- As an CNV support engineer I want to get an overview over IO latencies of certain VM disks.
Non-Requirements
- List of things not included in this epic, to alleviate any doubt raised during the grooming process.
Notes
- There will be a different epic that adding an alert if IO requests take later than a configured io latency threshold, but this is a different epic and depends on qemu work.
