we currently capture panic information in the virt-launcher logs, e.g.:

2024-09-30 16:30:49.506+0000: panic hyper-v: arg1='0x5a', arg2='0x1', arg3='0x1', arg4='0x0', arg5='0x0'

but this is not exposed any higher. This story is about how to propagate this information to a higher level, such as VM status or prometheus.
