Goal
KSM, so far an opt-in, will be enabled by default for new clusters after this epic is done.
User Stories
- As a cluster administrator, I want to see an efficient memory utilization, so that I can run more VMs on my hardware.
- As a cluster administrator, I want to turn KSM off if I don't care about memory usage and do not want to waste CPU resources on KSM.
Non-Requirements
- No need to make KSM any smarter of more efficient.
Notes
- This is particularly important for clusters running Windows VMs, as Windows zeros unused memory pages.
