      Goal

As a system administrator, I want the same functionalities of the NSX-T L4/L7 Load Balancer, so that I can expose my VM on CUDN L2 primary using L4/L7 load-balancing.

      User Stories

      • As a system administrator, I want to:
        • Choose the load balancing algorithm  (RoundRobin, Weighted RoundRobin, Least Connections, IP Hash), so that I can select the best one for my use case.
        • Enable session persistence so that my client can be routed to the same VM.
        • Configure Backup/Sorry server pool so that I can configure a backup server pool activated when the primary server pool is unavailable.
        • Configure one-arm topology
        • Configure a custom idle timeout.
        • Configure a custom health monitor.
        • Configure the scalability limit so that I can specify max new connections per second, max concurrent connections, and max throughput.
        • Specify security rules on Virtual Address, so that I can configure security rules to allow connections on the Virtual Address only from specific sources.
        • Configure SSL Offloading.
        • Specify Virtual Server with destination port ANY.
        • Arbitrary IP assignments for the VIP of the balanced service in the CUDN L2, so that it will be directly reachable from the external network without NAT.
        • Support for IP overlap for VIPs or server networks within distinct VRFs

      Notes

      • As this is an NSX-T basic capability, it impacts all customers who want to migrate from it.
