Goal

Enable collection of telemetry and metrics for CNV networking workflows (NADs, bridges, bonds, VM network configuration, etc) to establish a baseline for metrics, provide visibility into user behavior, configuration errors, and engagement with help features. This data will empower UXD and PM teams to identify pain points, measure the impact of design improvements, and improve the reliability and usability of networking configuration in OpenShift Virtualization.

User Stories

• As a cluster administrator, I want CNV networking events (such as creation, deletion, and configuration of NADs, bridges, and bonds) to be instrumented with telemetry, so that product teams can analyze how users interact with networking workflows and identify friction points.
• As a developer or telemetry analyst, I want relevant CNV UI and backend events to be tagged and emitted to Amplitude, so that we can correlate user actions with success/failure states and UI engagement patterns.
• As a UX designer or PM, I want to visualize this telemetry in Amplitude dashboards, so that we can track trends, validate design improvements, and prioritize future work based on real user behavior.

Non-Requirements

• No implementation of new networking features or UI redesign is part of this epic — only instrumentation to establish a baseline.

• This epic does not include building or maintaining Amplitude dashboards; those will be handled by UXD.

• No backend networking logic changes are in scope beyond adding telemetry hooks.
