Issue: When affinity rules are set, OpenShift Virtualization does not automatically enforce the rules while VMs are running. The rules are only enforced when the VMs are rebooted or powered on.
Impact: Depending on the size of a cluster, activities such as platform upgrades and maintenance will most likely require affinity rules to be disabled. When such activities are completed, the inability to enforce the affinity rules automatically would increase administrative overhead and will impact VM performance and/or application resiliency.
Solution and/or Workaround: customer resources and/or Red Hat professional services may be required to develop this functionality; however, it is unknown that such actions can even be automated.
