      Goal

If there is a cluster with very many unknown VMs, MTV should be able to utilize a generic preference to import unknown guests into CNV. Even the VMs might be just in a "rescue mode", MTV would remove the burden from the VM owner to import the VMs manually.

      User Stories

      • During migration from a 3rd party cluster to CNV, MTV should be able to create a VMs for unknown guests, so that the VM owner has a way to check if they are working in CNV.

      Non-Requirements

      • Getting the VM into the cluster is covered by MTV, not CNV.

      Notes

      • The preference should utilize the machine type q35
      • It has to be decided if the disk should be connected via SCSI or SATA
      • It has to be decided if the NIC should be Rtl8139 or e1000
