Inter-cluster VM live migration requires a fast and secure network connection between two clusters that can be used by kubevirt to transfer VM state and storage from the source to the target. We should start validating solutions now so that we will be ready to implement it for the third PoC.

Questions to consider:

• Is the connection secure?
• What is the performance cost?
• Is data compression possible at this layer or would we need it at the qemu level?
• How complex is the solution and what is the deployment overhead?
