      Steps to Reproduce:

      1. Hotplug a Non-Persistent Disk:
        • Use the virtctl command to hotplug a disk to a virtual machine without the --persist flag.

             2. Make Disk Persistent:{}

      •  Access the virtual machine's details in the OpenShift console.
      • Click the kebab icon next to the newly added disk.
      • Select the "Make Persistent" option.

            3. Verify Disk Persistence:

      • Check the disk's configuration.
      • Observe that the disk is still in "auto-detach" mode, indicating it's not persistent.

      Expected Behavior: After following the steps to make the disk persistent, the disk should be configured as persistent, ensuring it remains attached to the virtual machine even after reboots.

      Actual Behavior: The disk remains in "auto-detach" mode, and it may be detached from the virtual machine upon reboot or other events.
