Goal
In order to use OCP-Virt on AWS we currently recommend using NetApp FSX or Portworx but there is demand for something simpler that works with the EBS io2 volumes already provided by the platform. In 4.18 we identified some blocker issues which prevent everything from working as it should. This epic aims to close those gaps and end with a statement of support for native EBS storage.
User Stories
- As an OpenShift administrator I want to configure OpenShift Virtualization to use an EBS io2 storage class so that my users can run VMs on AWS without the need to use expensive and complex software-defined storage offerings.
Non-Requirements
- List of things not included in this epic, to alleviate any doubt raised during the grooming process.
