Goal
It is already possible to create a bootable volume from an existing VM. The idea of this epic is to provide a simple button to trigger it.
User Stories
- As a VM owner, I would like to press a GUI button to create a bootable volume from my already prepared VM, so that I can create more VMs based on it.
Non-Requirements
- This epic is based in the assumption that the user is taking the responsibility of the sysprep/generalize of the VM. The sysprep and clean up of any identifying data of the VM is excluded from this epic.
Notes
- The steps for the user to achieve the expected result using the current UI:
- "Bootable volumes": "Add volume" -> "With form"
- "Source type": "Use existing volume"
- set "Volume name"
- select "PVC project" and "PVC name"
- select "Preference" and "InstanceType"
