      Goal

This GN instance type class no longer makes any sense given the very inflexible nature of hard coding the GPU device within the instance type. As such the class has been deprecated ahead of removal in a future release of common-instancetypes.

This epic covers this deprecation and the need for the UI to both remove support for the GN glass and extend support in the VM customization screen to allow a GPU DeviceName to be provided when a user uses the generic u1 instance type class.

      User Stories

      • As a user creating a VM I want to use the generic u1 instance type class and also provide a vGPU to the VM

      Non-Requirements

      • List of things not included in this epic, to alleviate any doubt raised during the grooming process.
