Goal

Libvirt provides APIs for creating a coherent VM snapshot by synchronizing all IO at the qemu level. Such a snapshot would not use CSI APIs because qemu is performing the snapshot. In this case, one or more PVCs would be allocated to hold the snapshot contents. The trade-off is a more precise snapshot at the cost of not using storage array offloading for the disk snapshots.

User Stories

• As a VM owner I want to take a precise snapshot of my multi-disk virtual machine so that my data across multiple disks is coherent.
• As a VM owner I want to take a precise snapshot of my Virtual Machine including the contents of the TPM.
