      Description of problem:

      Upstream PR https://github.com/kubevirt/kubevirt/pull/8293 broke the support of the `EmulatedMachines` field, after #8923 the setting is no longer honored in favor of the new field inside the `architectureConfiguration` struct, this is wrong as it broke backwards compatibility.

      Steps to Reproduce:

      1. Set spec.configuration.emulatedMachines inside the KubeVirt CR
2. Start a VM in emulation mode

      Actual results:

      The VM does not start

      The VM starts succesfully
