Goal

In the current build process, CNV is using the rhel els base images . Usually, the RHEL base images are updated only during RHEL "Batch Updates" every 6 weeks. This way, CNV builds might get RHEL security udpates with a delay of 6 weeks, and customers even more. E.g. The build might have a delay of up to 6 weeks, code freeze might be two weeks before the release, and the time between the z-stream updates of CNV might be up to 8 weeks. This might sum up to a delay of 16 weeks of delivering RHEL security updates to CNV customers.

User Stories

• As a cluster admin, I want that the CNV images get security fixes quickly, so that I can provide an updated cluster to my users.
