The Direct Documentation Feedback (DDF) tool is being sunset on the Customer Portal and there will no longer be a feedback button shown on the documentation.
The interim solution, until a replacement is developed, is to include a direct HTML Jira link for customers to use to open doc bugs. This is not an eloquent solution and I know that unless a customer reads the "Providing feedback on OpenShift Virtualization" topic, then they won't know how to provide feedback from the customer portal.
However, to align with the CCS interim solution strategy, we must add a topic to our documentation. RHEL and other teams add this topic to the release notes, which is where I recommend adding it.
Here's the recommended text:
We appreciate your feedback on our documentation. To provide feedback, open a ticket describing the the issue. Provide as much detail as possible, so that your request may be quickly addressed.
Prerequisite
You have an account and are logged into Red Hat's Jira. If not, you will be prompted to create an account.
Procedure
To provide feedback, perform the following steps:
- Click on the following link: ** Create a documentation ticket ** (Please don't include the raw URL)
- Enter a brief description of the issue in the Summary text box.
- Provide more details about the issue or enhancement in the Description text box.
- It is helpful to include a URL to where the issue occurs in the documentation.
A documentation issue will be created and routed to the appropriate documentation team. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback.
