      Goal

InstanceTypes limits the amount of configuration that can be done to the VM, for example: amount of CPU and memory (must match the pre-define sizes). In some cases there is a need to have full control on the VM definitions and in such case I would like to "expend" the VM definition from the InstanceType and have all configurations available in a single VM definition, similar to VMs that are created from templates

      User Stories

      • As a VM Owner, I like to expand the instancetypes and preferences referenced by my VM, so that I can tune the details of my VM.
      • As a VM owner I would like to understand why and when should I expend the VM
      • As a VM owner I need to understand that this operation cannot be reversible

      Non-Requirements

      • List of things not included in this epic, to alleviate any doubt raised during the grooming process.
