Overview

Build complete CI testing infrastructure for backup/restore scenarios in HyperShift Hosted
Control Planes. This Epic extends the existing OADP integration from CNTRLPLANE-316 with
comprehensive test coverage across all supported providers.

Context

• Continuation of OADP backup/restore integration work
• Need comprehensive CI coverage by provider and scenario
• Support same management cluster and cross-cluster restore scenarios

Scope

This Epic covers implementation of E2E CI testing for:

• Same Management Cluster scenarios: Backup and restore within the same management cluster
• Cross-Management Cluster scenarios: Backup in one cluster, restore in another
• All supported providers: AWS, Azure, KubeVirt, Agent, OpenStack, None, PowerVS

Acceptance Criteria

• CI strategy and execution plan defined (Periodics vs Conformance)
• Ginkgo test structure established in test/e2e/v2 for backup/restore
• E2E tests implemented for AWS platform
• E2E tests implemented for Azure platform
• E2E tests implemented for KubeVirt platform
• E2E tests implemented for Agent platform
• E2E tests implemented for OpenStack platform
• E2E tests implemented for None platform
• E2E tests implemented for PowerVS platform
• CI jobs configured and running successfully for all providers
• Test documentation completed
