Currently the operator applies the upstream deployment manifests directly without any modifications. This is not sustainable across releases in the future. We need to be able to override the manifests before being included within in the operator as bin data.

Possible ways of override,

• Kustomize to merge a patch containing required operand spec
• Some other solution

Essentially the outcome is a mechanism by which we can control the manifest shipped during rebases without manual intervention.
