This spike intends to document/analyse the requirements for addition of NCM as a supported Issuer for use with cert-manager operator for Red Hat OpenShift. Today, upstream cert-manager projects supports it through use of Issuer type External, while in our openshift cert-manager-operator we have never supported an External Issuer till now. Our current plan is to include NCM Issuer as the first supported external issuer from our operator and include in our next release.
