The customer needs a functionality reviewed on their ask around --feature-gates=LiteralCertificateSubject=true'. This seems like a valid ask (Upstream discussion for context around the use case of how/why the Subject field for the cert can be configured https://github.com/cert-manager/cert-manager/issues/3203 and related PR https://github.com/cert-manager/cert-manager/pull/5002). We need to support it either downstream and also, any upstream effort we need to do to push the feature as it's still at Alpha.

Acceptance criteria:

1. Design analysis, alternatives, use cases, and effort estimations.
2. Completed backlog and feature validation with customers.
3. E2E test cases.
