xxia-1 and swghosh@redhat.com recently discussed about QE automation within CPaaS build/release pipelines as an effective measure to gate attaching of builds to Errata when operator builds are carried out.

Currently, cluster-logging-operator does this and runs the QE test cases (which is a Jenkins test pipeline run) to validate each build out of CPaaS. Builds are only attached to errata if they pass all the pipeline tests. This could be implemented for cert-manager-operator as well as that'd help improve build quality.
