Currently, developers.redhat.com uses hardcoded values for CDK and Devsuite on https://developers.redhat.com/downloads/ to provide the user with OS specific downloads. Hard coded values on the front-end make maintenance difficult and results inconsistent (especially when staging DM and production aren't synchronized). I propose that a field be added where the user defines which operating system the download corresponds to when the artifact is added to Download Manager. My thought is that we would have some sort of dropdown that designates which OS the artifact relates to (i.e. Mac, Linux, Windows, Other) and that it would be required in order for the user to save the artifact. That way, every download in the future would be OS specific. This should also positively affect UX as users will no longer need to navigate to the product's download page in order to download the correct artifact AFTER they've already downloaded the featured artifact that doesn't correspond to their OS.
