RFE-1608 has been implemented and will ship with OpenShift 4.13. This will introduce new APIs to control image pull redirection for mirrored content. CFE-812 describes the needed work.
This study is to understand the needed work and evaluate what is to be implemented in oc-mirror, what it takes, and if it is backportable to 4.13.
