There are many many old branches in our GH repos that need to be deleted. Any branches that are already merged can be deleted.

Enable the option to delete branches automatically on merge.

Lock down / protect the main branches for both repos (so no one can directly merge to main)

Make it so that only members of the dev org can submit PRs to the repos
