An IDE plugin developed for IDEA or Eclipse could usefully provide aid for

• creation and syntax/type validation of Byteman rules
• correlation of Byteman rules with their target classes/methods
• uploading of rules into an application at startup or during execution
• tracking of Byteman agent bytecode transformation, rule type checking/compilation, rule execution

This would make an ideal student project.
