Chapter 5 of the Managing Red Hat Process Automation Manager and KIE Server settings doc contains a note regarding the usage of the bytea based schema on Postgres. The following sentence needs to be removed from this note:

Do not use the postgresql-jbpm-lo-trigger-clob.sql script when creating a BYTEA-based schema.

• Following the current instructions of not using the script leads to data loss if vacuumlo is executed against the database
• This sentence will be valid in 7.13 once BAPL-2112 / JBPM-9939 is available in the product
