There is a feature on Drools/Kie v7 for DMN Decision Table to be translated to Kie v7 Rule Units during compilation.
However, Rule Units of v7 are deprecated in favour of Kogito variants.

This DMN feature to the best of my knowledge is (fortunately!) not widely used; I have received zero bug reports and zero feedback on it.
This DMN feature to the best of my knowledge is actually performing worse than the naive DMN Decision Table engine (quantitative measures in DROOLS-6237) for most common and pragmatic use-cases.

I have already planned to remove the recommendation in the drools doc and product documentation to enable it; there is a statement in the doc that cites "Ideally, you have built the DMN project as an executable model for more efficient execution [code snippet] mvn clean install -DgenerateDMNModel=yes" which is clearly not corresponding to evidence.
      This JIRA captures this task.
