Docs are for EAP and JBoss Web Server (JWS), the text is the same but the reference about how to make and configure a settings.xml file is different. We currently won't document for other platforms because configuring settings.xml is not documented for other platforms. If there is a need I'll create a JIRA to doc settings.xml for other platforms but there is no chance of that being done for 7.4GA.
