      Spike Story

Shipwright has the concept of "managed push," which is not well documented. If the build strategy stores output container image layers/digests in a special directory, Shipwright can take care of the push and add additional information.

See SHIP-0026 for full requirements. We also have an example of how to do this with buildah upstream - see buildah shipwright managed push example.

      Objective

Test updating our official supported build strategies to use "shipwright-managed push." This is something we could aim to support in Builds 1.2.

Shipwright-managed push enables other features like setting the image timestamp.
