      User stories

      As a developer, i would like to ensure the provenance of the supply chain for the karpenter aws provider. By using a downstream version of the core karpenter library within the openshift release of the karpenter aws provider, we can help ensure the provenance.

      As a developer, i would like to fix issues in the karpenter core library that may be red hat specific, or might need to be deployed before upstream has released a version with the included fix. By using a downstream version of the core karpenter library, i can help ensure that fixes are released in a timely fashion on openshift.

      Goals

      • switch openshift/aws-karpenter-provider-aws to use openshift/kubernetes-sigs-karpenter
      • setup release automation for openshift/kubernetes-sigs-karpenter
      • setup ci for openshift/kubernetes-sigs-karpenter
      • setup rebasebot for openshift/kubernetes-sigs-karpenter
