This is the launch of the "Standalone Server" discussed on http://community.jboss.org/docs/DOC-15215. A launch script that differs from the current run.sh in not telling jboss-modules to start module org.jboss.as:jboss-as-process-manager – rather some other module. A possible choice is org.jboss.as:jboss-as-server, with modifications to its Main class to discriminate between when it is being triggered via the cmd line vs via ProcessManager.
