In read mode, all fields should either be shown as read-only (grayed out as Name and Inter- face are in this screenshot) or the fields removed (like Fixed Port? in this screenshot) to make it clear that the user needs to go into edit mode to make changes. My sug- gestion would be to show all fields as just text without the field sur- round in read-only mode.
