    Description

      Owner: Architect:

      David Peraza

      Story (Required)

As a Primaza developer, I will like to know how to install a stable version of RHTAP, so I can explore how to integrate Primaza with RHTAP.

      Background (Required)

We know some theory and have seen a few demos from RHTAP. Most prominently the demo at the summit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LCmCkwRcOE&t=3820s and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_8M4-JQuXs. However, there is not better way a technology than actually trying to run it and then be able to map binaries to source code. This story will gather all information to be able to install RHTAP not only once, but multiple times as required by our team to stay up to date.

      Glossary

      NA

      Out of scope

Run an application with service dependencies through the pipeline

      In Scope

Install and documentation (wiki) to be able to deploy in our AWS account.
      Verify Installation with simple Application.

      Approach(Required)

Follow this John: https://github.com/jduimovich/standalone-hac. I was thinking of using the demo environment already created by Kartikey.

Another document that could help is this: https://redhat-appstudio.github.io/infra-deployments/docs/development/pre.html

Once RHTAP is installed we can use a simple app like the one used by Burr in his demo from the UI. Or use on of these https://github.com/jduimovich/appstudio-e2e-demos from cli.

      Demo requirements(Required)

Cabal demo showing how to install documented in the wiki, and then take simple application through the end to end pipeline (from import to deploy)

      Dependencies

      Cluster must meet these requirements:
      RAM Usage: 20GB
      Disk Usage: 50GB

      Edge Case

      NA

      Acceptance Criteria

Wiki on The Source with instructions to install RHTAP in a cluster (even pointing to the document)
Demo in Cabal with installed RHTAP going through the pipeline: prepare a video of the RHTAP installation
