It will help with UI testing a lot if we had easy to select IDs for as many elements as makes sense.

We should be careful to ensure that the IDs do not get duplicated anywhere on a given page. For example, the buttons on the inline description editor probably cannot have IDs since it's possible there will be a page with two inline editors visible at the same time.
